The Snug - Interior Design in Market Harborough Before & After!

Following on from our previous post, The Hallway - Interior Design in Market Harborough Before & After Pictures, we thought we'd move on to one of our favourite rooms - The Snug.

The brief for this room was to create a space where our clients could entertain late into the night. They imagined a colourful and luxurious space with a bar feel to include old and new items to give it a big personality.

Before:

The flooring and wall colour was to stay the same but we did make a few structural changes including ripping out the built-in TV unit. The curtains were to remain but we did add some beautiful roman blinds to assist with keeping the room warm. The Chesterfield sofa was also to remain.

We also replaced the white radiator with traditional cast iron radiators in anthracite and we added a tall feature rad as the original windows do not allow the room to retain a lot of heat.

As you can see from the mood board below, we wanted to give the room a quirky cocktail bar feel with lots of contrasting colours, textures and fabrics.

We chose a variety of new furniture and styling accessories to mix with the remaining pieces, as well as some antiques that we picked up for this project.

Mood Board:

The clients loved everything about the mood boards and started ordering the items we specified. We booked in all deliveries and booked in a few days where we could style and dress the house.

Here's the finished snug! What do you think?

After:

We love the contrast of the mustard velvet love seat with the rustic leather Chesterfield sofa.

The monochrome geometric rug with the metallic, marble and granite coffee table give it a modern sophisticated edge and the stunning chandelier and lamps provide a feeling of grandeur.

Finally, the patterned velvet cushions and pampas grass soften the whole thing.

We love this room and we can imagine our lovely clients entertaining in here for years to come!

Next up... The Lounge!
