From the outset, the brief was clear - design a lodge that stops people in their tracks. A luxury lodge that feels like the ultimate couple’s retreat, with a bold new roof design and an interior that’s bang on trend. And the best part? YourRetreats gave us complete creative freedom to deliver something that hasn’t been seen before.

Standout Design Features

From concept to CGI, every element was considered to create a high end lodge that feels luxurious, light filled and connected to its setting.

A Bold New Roofline

Take one look at the lodge’s striking new roof design and you’ll see how it sets the tone for the whole project. The contemporary pitch, finished in sleek black with integrated LED strip lighting at the eaves, adds drama and modernity to the classic timber clad exterior.

Bringing the Outside In

Floor to ceiling windows and zinc framed box windows flood the interior with natural light, while perfectly framing the serene waterside views. The expansive decked terrace with glass balustrade creates a seamless flow from indoors to outdoors perfect for that morning coffee or sunset glass of wine.

Interior Design: Bold, Modern, Inviting

Inside, the lodge is designed to be a truly unique escape. The open plan kitchen, living and dining space feels light and welcoming, with statement skylights overhead, organic textures and earthy tones. One of the standout features of the lodge interior is the beautifully crafted curved breakfast bar, a social hub designed for laidback breakfasts and evening drinks. It adds a unique flow to the living area, creating a natural gathering spot. 

In the bedroom, it’s all about understated luxury and clever design touches. A king size bed takes centre stage, with a striking timber feature wall laid in a Herringbone pattern adding texture. Hanging pendant lights frame each side of the bed, saving space while creating a cosy ambience. There’s a walk-in wardrobe tucked discreetly behind, providing generous storage without cluttering the space. Skylights and large windows make the room feel light and calm by day, while layered soft furnishings for restful nights.

Each detail of the lodge interior design has been chosen to feel high end yet homely, for a cosy hideaway feel. While we introduced standout new elements, it was equally important to honour the core features that make YourRetreats so unique - thoughtful layouts, top quality finishes and a sense of tranquility that sets their retreats apart.
